Pic shows: Nude video of another victim. Nude photos of university students ended up being posted online and to their parents after they failed to pay their debts to loan sharks. But more surprising is the fact that the victim, and others like her, willingly provided the nudes as unorthodox “IOUs” in the first place, knowing that they would be made public if the money borrowed was not returned in time. According to reports, the victim is a Chinese university student who was given the pseudonym Li Li, and whose exact name and location were kept anonymous. She told a news outlet in Guangzhou, capital of South China\u2019s Guangdong Province, that she borrowed just 500 RMB (53 GBP) from the online financing company in order to start a small business back in February this year. The creditors asked no questions about what she wanted to do with the money, and they gave only one condition: she was to send nude photos of herself holding her identification card as acknowledgement of her debt. If her debt was not repaid within the specified time limit, the creditors threatened to publish the photos online and send them to her parents. Li claims that she was unable to repay the money in time, and with a weekly interest rate of 30 percent, Li\u2019s 500 RMB loan snowballed and she ended up owing as much as 55,000 RMB (5,884 GBP). Having failed to meet her creditors\u2019 demands, the photos eventually ended up online, with Li\u2019s parents also receiving messages showing Li in the nude, holding her ID card as proof of her identity. The girl and her parents have reportedly now gone to police with the evidence, and an investigation is said to be ongoing. Reports citing authorities said there are a number of other victims involved in similar cases, and that while the financing company\u2019s methods are illegal, the victims themselves may also be punished for their involvement.
